What are all-on-X® dental implants?
All-on-x® dental implants are anchored by a customized number of implants and are used to restore the appearance and functionality of your smile. This is done by replacing the missing teeth of the entire upper or lower jaw, with a set number of implants that a hybrid denture is attached to and is completely secure and stable. Unlike traditional dental implants where one implant and screw are used to replace one singular tooth, all-on-x® uses fewer implants to replace more teeth at once. All-on-x® offers oral surgeons the versatility to customize the number of implants based on your individual needs and jawbone density. The result is a full set of teeth that look and feel natural and requires a shorter recovery time. Using guided dental implant surgery with nSequence® software, your dental implant procedure is precisely planned. All-on-x® dental implants carefully take into consideration the placement of the implants at specific angles. Previous methods would place the dental implant straight into the jawbone. Angling the implants based on each patient's needs allows for more bone to be utilized resulting in a stronger, more durable foundation for your new teeth.
What can all-on-X® dental implants do for me?
All-on-x® is ideal for patients who have lost the majority of their teeth. Tooth loss can occur from poor dental hygiene, age, periodontal disease, lifestyle habits such as smoking, accidents, and more. While tooth loss can feel uncomfortable and inhibit daily tasks such as eating and speaking, teeth that are not replaced following loss or removal can lead to a variety of problems. Missing teeth can weaken jawbone density, alter facial structure, increase the risk of infection, cause bite irregularity, and more. If you are not a candidate for dental implants due to the loss of jawbone volume, it is still possible you may be a candidate for all-on-x® dental implants in NYC. Other candidates include those with traditional dentures who wish for a permanent, natural replacement of their teeth. This eliminates dealing with your current prosthesis slipping out, being ill-fitting, or causing discomfort. For many who are missing a majority of their teeth, the specific approach of all-on-x® is appealing as it is optimized for your unique smile.

What should I expect from all-on-X® dental implantS?
Our oral surgeons will perform imaging and determine the number of dental implants that are best for your needs. We utilize the advanced imaging of the Cone Beam CT scan to get a full 3D image of your smile. Before your all-on-x® procedure, unhealthy or loose teeth are extracted. Virtual planning software maps out a surgical template which is used to guide our oral surgeons when placing your dental implants, and then patients are fitted for temporary teeth. Once the temporary teeth are designed the all-on-x® implants are then placed, and your temporary teeth are inserted.
Over the following months, your jawbone will fuse to your new implants to provide a secure and stable foundation. Once your gums and jaw have fully healed, you will receive your final all-on-x® dental implant restoration.
