Oral Pathology
The lining inside a healthy mouth is typically smooth and pink. Changes in the color or texture of the lining in your mouth may indicate an underlying oral disease, including serious conditions such as oral cancer. Additionally, any unexplained changes in the skin and soft tissue around the lips, cheeks, palate, gums, teeth, tongue, face, or neck should be examined to rule out any serious oral pathology. Dr. Stein and Dr. Koslovsky are experienced in diagnosing and treating diseases of the oral and maxillofacial regions.
What should I do if I notice sores or lumps in my mouth?
Our oral surgeons recommend that everyone perform monthly self-examinations of the mouth, lips, face, and neck for any unexplained sores, lumps, or other possible signs of oral disease. If you notice any changes or suspicious growths, call our office to make an appointment for a personal consultation as soon as possible.
